TYSON SCHULZ MSW, CSW: Individual and Family Therapist

​Tyson Schulz, MSW, CSW.  Graduating from Mt. Vernon high school in 1996, Tyson went on to earn a Bachelor's degree from Dakota Wesleyan University in 2001, completing a triple major in Psychology, Fitness and Performance, and Athletic Training. Driven by a passion for mental health and personal well-being, he later earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Iowa in 2011. A Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP), Tyson is also a trauma-trained therapist.  Tyson specializes in Trauma Focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Play Therapy, offering compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals and families navigating complex emotional and psychological challenges. Tyson and his wife Lisa have been married for 22 years.  They have three children, Kazlyn (22), Treyson (20), and Broden (18).  Tyson currently lives in Mitchell with his wife and their three German Shepherds. Tyson is also currently working toward his Private Independent Practice licensure in the State of South Dakota.
